Grindstone Lake is a small, quiet lake located near Dorset. The lake has only 13 cottages and kayaks, a canoe and a paddle boat are included in the rental.
An open outdoor fire pit is located on a strip of beach twenty feet from the cottage. The lot is level near the water and rises behind the cottage. The lake frontage is about 226 feet that includes a cove perfect for swimming. The water in the cove drops off gradually, making it a great place for children. Because of its proximity to the cottage and patio, it is easy to watch children while they play in the water.
The cottage is L-shaped with about 1100 square feet of space. It has a screened-in porch near the edge of the water and a deck of about 400 square feet facing the lake. A propane barbeque is on the upper deck and down five steps is a large cedar deck that is about 10 feet from water.
The cottage is open-concept with a huge fireplace and piano in the living room. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a dishwasher. The dining room table seats up to eight people. All kitchen cookware, utensils and dishes are included.
The bathroom is has a bath, shower, vanity and full-sized washer and dryer. The master bedroom has a queen sized bed plus crib. Both smaller bedrooms have double/single bunk beds. |
